SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are looking for two suspects accused of beating one man with a crow bar and stabbing another with a machete late Wednesday night.

It started near I-215 and west North Temple street around 9 p.m.

Officers say the first attack happened on Shannon Circle, when the suspects beat a man they apparently knew with a crow bar.

When a woman came out to break up the fight, she was chased to her home on Kimberly Circle.

Her husband ran outside to confront the men.

"We've got this victim over on Kimberly Circle and he just came out to protect his wife and was attacked by the man with the machete," Lt. Dave Cracroft with the Salt Lake City Police Department said. "So we would certainly like to hunt these guys down."

Lt. Cracroft said the first victim, the man hit with the crowbar, is not cooperating with investigators and refused to get any treatment.

The stabbing victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay.

Investigators have very little information about the suspects at this time.

They are believed to be in their 20s and took off in a green sedan.
