They were dispatched to a report of a gunshot near Roy High School around 4:40 a.m. at an apartment complex at 1958 West 4700 South.

Officers located a male that had been shot in the abdomen in his apartment. The victim is undergoing emergency surgery, but his wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are looking for other people who left the apartment before officers arrived.

Police do not believe there is any immediate danger to the public.
