WEST JORDAN, Utah — A person is in critical condition after a shooting in West Jordan.

Police responded to reports of shots fired around 10:00 p.m. Monday in the area of 5200 West and 7800 South.

The victim was shot twice and is in stable condition at an area hospital.

A person of interest in the shooting was taken into custody, but investigators are asking for the public’s help in determining just what happened.

“We've gone around the immediate area of the home looking for doorbell or exterior surveillance cameras or even some Wyze cameras they put in their window,” said West Jordan Police Sgt. Brandon Turner. “So anybody that has those we'd love to get the footage off of those or at least view it.”

If you have any surveillance video or information regarding this shooting, you’re asked to call West Jordan Police at 801-256-2000.
