WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A 30-year-old man suffered critical injuries after being hit by a car in West Valley City Wednesday night.
A West Valley City Police spokeswoman said it happened shortly before 9:30 at 6425 W 3500 S.
A vehicle traveling east on 3500 S struck a pedestrian in the roadway. Police said the victim was not using a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. Police do not believe the driver was impaired.
A major accidents unit responded to the crash scene for an investigation.
Police have not released the victim's name.
