NORTH OGDEN, Utah — One man is dead after an overnight shooting in North Ogden.
Weber Area Dispatch received calls just after midnight reporting shots fired in the area of 400 East and 1700 North.
Officers responded and found a 29-year-old male victim in the street.
North View Fire transported the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two unidentified people left the scene, possibly in a dark colored SUV, according to witnesses.
Officers say there is a possibility the parties knew each other, and this is not a random act of violence.
Police announced Saturday evening that they do have a suspect in custody in questioning for the homicide.
