Man shot, killed in Murray identified

MURRAY, Utah — One person died Friday evening after being shot during an altercation in Murray.

According to police, the altercation took place in a parking lot near Main Street and Fireclay Avenue around 5:30 p.m.

One or two people on foot and one person in a vehicle were involved. Police said one of the individuals fired several shots at the driver, who then drove away before crashing. He was transported to the hospital where he was later declared dead.

On Monday, police released that the victim was 34-year-old Jak Yiek Mun of Murray.
