WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — One person died after a fatal car accident in West Valley City Wednesday night.
The crash happened in the area of 4100 S and Redwood road just before 9 p.m.
Police say a west bound vehicle jumped the center divider and was hit by a east bound Ford Expedition.
The driver of the West bound vehicle was ejected and died at the scene.
No further information was released on the victim of the crash.
Officials are investigating why the driver of the vehicle jumped over the divider.
East bound 4100 S. will be closed from Redwood road to 1300 W. for the next several hours as officials continue to investigate the scene.
