Ogden home damaged in early morning fire

OGDEN, Utah — An Ogden home sustained significant damage in a fire early Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded to 2526 Monroe Blvd. after they were notified of the blaze around 2:46 a.m.

When they arrived, fire crews found heavy flames coming from the back of the house. Firefighters kept the flames contained to the rear area of the house and extinguished the fire by 3:07.

No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause is under investigations.

Fire crews estimate the damage at $80,000.

Two ladder trucks, one rescue truck, one ambulance, 18 Ogden City firefighters, one Deputy Fire Marshal and the Battalion Chief responded to the fire.

No one was injured.
