COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah — A 73-year-old woman was killed in an early Monday accident in Cottonwood Heights.
The woman was struck at the intersection at 6200 South and Wasatch Boulevard just before 7:00 a.m. Police tell FOX 13 News that the woman was walking against traffic before the collision and was in the crosswalk at the time, though she did not have the right of way to cross.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the woman stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police. Investigators say they do not suspect the driver of having any impairments.
The crash is still under investigation.
