SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — An employee at a South Salt Lake company was killed Friday in what officials are calling an industrial accident.
The victim, 37-year-old Christopher Kilpack, was killed while on a job site at a location in the area of 3600 South 500 West.
South Salt Lake Police tell FOX 13 News that Kilpack was securing tree logs in the area when a strap was removed from the load. A large log that was previously secured fell on him.
South Salt Lake police and Utah Occupational Safety and Health are currently investigating the incident.
