WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — The body of a 61-year-old man was discovered just outside Jordanelle State Park Thursday, with the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office believing the death could be related to a road rage incident.

Officials said the body was located on the shoulder of the road outside of a car in the Rose Creek trailhead area near the state park.

The road rage incident occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday. While a suspect is still at large, there is not believed to be an immediate threat to the public.

Authorities are still looking for the second vehicle involved in the possible altercation, which could be a Jeep Gladiator or Jeep Rubicon.

"We call upon the individuals in the second vehicle to turn themselves in. The sooner you turn yourselves in to deal with the situation the better," the sheriff's office wrote.

The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office has since identified the victim as Patrick L. Hayes from Hideout, Utah. An autopsy has confirmed the cause of death to be from a gunshot wound.
