SALT LAKE CITY — Two people were killed in a crash on I-215 in Salt Lake City on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident forced the closure of all southbound lanes on I-215 West near 2100 North for several hours.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, both of the people killed were adults, but their identities have not been released.
"We’ve got people at the hospital interviewing other people that were involved. Next we do an accident reconstruction and then we will determine what happened from there.” said UHP Trooper Jason Kitchen.
The cause of the accident is not yet known. One of traffic finally reopened on the highway at 7 p.m.
