Crews are working to assess the situation and restore power after a new fire was started overnight in Oakley.
The "Weber Canyon Fire" started around 1:00 AM Saturday morning, believed to have been caused by a downed power line.
Residents on Weber Canyon Road were evacuated by Summit County deputies and search and rescue teams, though a later update confirmed that no homes had been lost.
75 acres were confirmed to have burned, though a complete assessment was scheduled for Saturday morning. Crews estimated no additional structures or residences were threatened, and that power would be restored to the area after the scene was stabilized.
It's also assumed that moisture and cooler temperatures will aid in complete suppression.
This is a developing story.
