The National Weather Service has issued an avalanche warning, effective through Tuesday evening.
The warning covers multiple mountains in the state, including the Wasatch Range, Bear River Range, Uinta Mountains, Manti Skyline Plateau, Fish Lake, Pahvants, Tushars, and the Cedar City area mountains.
Dangerous avalanche conditions exist in the backcountry, and the NWS suggests staying off and out from under slopes steeper than 30 degrees, as natural and human-triggered avalanches are likely over the next several days.
The warning does not apply to ski areas where avalanche mitigation measures have been performed, but does include the backcountry.
