SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A serious accident forced the closure of multiple lanes of westbound Interstate 80 in Summit County on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident in Jeremy Ranch originally forced a complete closure of the highway until just after 3:30 p.m. when one lane was opened to traffic. The rest of the lanes reopened about an hour later.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, two vehicles crashed in the eastbound lanes of the highway, with a pickup truck losing control and rolling through the median and into the westbound lanes.

Three occupants inside the rolling truck have been transported to the hospital, with the driver suffering the most serious injuries. Two juvenile females in the car suffered minor injuries.
