Motorcyclist dies after colliding with electric scooter in St. George

ST. GEORGE, Utah — A motorcyclist has died after colliding with an electric scooter left in the road Monday morning in St. George.

Police say the rider was headed south on Bluff Street near St. George Boulevard when he hit the unoccupied Spin scooter.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Tuesday, St. George Police gave an update that he had died.

"We are saddened to report that the driver from this crash has passed away due to his injuries sustained in this crash," the department wrote in the Facebook post. "We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends."
