MURRAY, Utah — One person was killed Tuesday night in a crash between a motorcycle and a car.
Murray Police said the accident happened around 6:40 p.m. on State Street near 5900 South. The car was traveling north and made a left turn in front of the southbound motorcycle.
First responders administered CPR on the motorcycle rider, later identified by family as Chris Shupe, but he died at the scene. Shupe was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Police have identified the victim to be 37-year-old Christian Anthony Shupe of Murray, Utah.
They expect the vehicle driver, Catherine Thulin, to be charged with Driving Under The Influence, Negligently Operating a Vehicle Resulting in Death and a count of Alcohol Restricted Driver.
