SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — A 21-year-old man is in serious condition after a shooting in South Salt Lake early Tuesday morning.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 at Mountain Shadow Apartments, 3895 S 700 W.
"We do believe that this is a targeted, isolated incident and directed at this specific person," said Lt. Danielle Croyle, South Salt Lake PD. "With that, we don't think there's a threat to the area or the surrounding community."
As of 6 a.m., the victim was undergoing surgery for treatment of his gunshot injury. Police hope to speak with him and learn more about the events surrounding the shooting.
