OGDEN, Utah — A man was killed late Thursday after being hit by a Weber State University police vehicle in Ogden.

The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. as the on-duty officer in the vehicle was traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard near 27th Street. According to officials, the officer immediately began rendering first aid, but the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The officer has been placed on paid administrative leave as the Ogden Police Department and Weber County Attorney’s office investigate the accident.
Police have not yet released the identify of victim.
