Cottonwoods Heights man killed in four car crash on Redwood Road in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — A Cottonwood Heights man was killed in a four car crash at 6200 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville.

It happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

Witnesses told Unified Police that one of the cars ran a red light.

"What we have been told by witnesses is that there was a vehicle that was northbound on Redwood Road when an eastbound vehicle ran a red light and struck that vehicle," UPD Sgt.Melody Gray said.

The driver of the car that was hit has been identified as Andrew Steven Miller Jenkins, 35, of Cottonwood Heights.

The driver of the eastbound car was treated on scene for minor injuries.

An investigation is underway.

"As far as any charges right now, really too early to say," Sgt. Gray said. "At this point there are no obvious signs of impairment."
