Man breaks Utah's 32-year-old lake trout record

FLAMING GORGE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, Utah — An angler recently set a new record for the largest lake trout caught in Utah.

Chance Scott caught and kept a 53 pound 15 ounce lake trout, breaking the 51-pound record set in 1988.

Scott's lake trout, which he caught at Flaming Gorge Reservoir, had a length of 44.1 inches and a girth of 34.7 inches.
