OGDEN, Utah — A man has been booked into the Weber County Jail in connection with an assault and forcible sexual abuse investigation over the weekend.
Billy Rayfell Goree, 48, is accused of punching and inappropriately touching a woman who refused to have sex with Goree.
The woman went to YCC Family Crisis Center in Ogden early Saturday morning to report she had been assaulted. According to a probable cause statement, the woman was bleeding from her lips and she had swelling and marks on her head.
Officers located Goree and found him in possession of some of the woman's personal belongings, the statement says.
According to the probable cause statement, Goree denied assaulting and sexually abusing the woman, but he admitted to being in the area with her.
Police said they also found Goree in possession of a small baggie containing a white crystalline substance and a glass pipe with burnt residue in the bubble and tube. A field test of the crystalline substance returned as positive for amphetamines.
"Goree admitted (post-Miranda) to being [a] methamphetamine addict, finding the baggie of suspected methamphetamine and using the glass pipe to smoke methamphetamines," the statement says.
Goree faces a second-degree felony charge of forcible sexual abuse and misdemeanor charges of assault, possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
