For the past 40 years, Golden Spike National Historical Park has housed, restored and protected massive steam engines.

In the video above, see a blast from the past and how the experts keep these locomotives in tip-top shape for train lovers of all ages.

If you'd like to see the trains and Promontory Point yourself, the park is open. Tickets cost $20 and are good for seven consecutive days.
