LINDON, Utah — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has revealed the location for Utah's most recently announced temple.

The Lindon temple was one of six announced in October's General Conference.

The church announced Monday that the three-story, 81,000-square-foot temple will be built near 800 East and Center Street.

The location is a mostly-empty lot near Oak Canyon Junior High, based on images from Google Maps. There appear to be one or two houses that may be torn down, depending on the exact size and boundaries of the temple's new property.

The church will release exterior renderings and announce a groundbreaking date at a later time yet to be determined. They are working with city officials to coordinate planning.

It is 25th announced temple in Utah. There are currently 17 operating in the state, and seven others that are either under construction or have been announced but not begun yet. There are four currently operating in Utah County, with two additional temples currently under construction in Oremand Saratoga Springs.
