SALT LAKE CITY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' October conference will follow the same format as the one in April of this year: with broadcasts available for church members, but no sessions open to the public.
"As a worldwide organization, we have an obligation to be good citizens and to act with caution as it relates to such a unique setting as general conference, which traditionally brings thousands of visitors to Salt Lake City from around the globe," a letter from the church's First Presidency said.
The Latter-day Saint church is expected to release further details on the plan for its October conference as they are finalized.
