PROVO, Utah — Provo Fire and Rescue Station 23 recently made a non-human rescue.
Crews were responding to a brush fire when they found a kitten near the blaze.
The animal was so close to the fire that it was smoking, so crews rinsed it with water.
They also assessed the kitten for any injuries, which it did not appear to have.
Officials credit firefighter Austin Svenson for the rescue.
