SALT LAKE CITY — Parts of Interstate-80 in Salt Lake City were closed Thursday after concrete chunks fell from a dump truck, causing a multi-vehicle accident.
The Utah Highway Patrol said about six vehicles were involved in the accident after four large pieces of concrete fell from the truck on westbound I-80 as it splits towards I-15 and 201.
A few injuries were reported, with one driver taken to the hospital in fair condition.
After the accident was cleared, UHP troopers were able to reopen the road.
