WEBER COUNTY, Utah — A local teacher was arrested Monday after police say he sent and requested sexually explicit photos to a detective posing as a teenage girl online.
Jared Biggs, who is a math teacher in the Granite School District, was arrested after an undercover operation by the Weber County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Task Force.
Biggs contacted a detective who was posing online as a 13-year-old girl as part of the operation, then requested sexually explicit photographs and sent several sexual explicit photographs of himself, according to the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
He faces four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of enticing a minor.
