FOX 13 News Viewership Sees Record Growth

SALT LAKE CITY — As more Americans are turning to local news for the latest information about COVID-19, KSTU FOX 13 in Salt Lake City remains Utah’s local news leader, winning more dayparts than any competitor during May Sweeps. According to ratings provided by Nielsen, when it comes to local news and programming, KSTU FOX 13 is the No. 1 station among adults 25-54, the key demographic among advertisers. May highlights include:

  • Early Morning News (4:30 – 6 a.m.) - #1 (Tie)
  • Morning News (6 – 9 a.m.) - #1
  • Midday News (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) - #1
  • Early Evening News (4 – 5 p.m.) - #1
  • Late News (9 – 10 p.m.) - #2
  • Weekend Morning News (7 – 9 a.m.) - #1

KSTU FOX 13’s commitment to Utah during the COVID-19 crisis is further demonstrated through its We’re Open Utah initiative, which showcases local businesses daily to help keep their doors open and their employees working. The station’s ratings success continues with Utah’s No. 1 lifestyle show, “The PLACE.” KSTU FOX 13 is also home to the nation’s top-rated primetime program “The Masked Singer,” as well as syndicated programs “LIVE with Kelly & Ryan” and “The Dr. Oz Show,” each taking the top spots in their time periods.
