WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — A new wildfire is threatening structures and has forced a road on SR-18 near Snow Canyon in Washington County.
The "Snow Canyon Fire" has burned about 100 acres near Diamond Valley and wind is driving it northward.
The road closure on SR-18 is affecting both lanes of travel. Drivers are urged to find an alternate route.
According to Utah Fire Info, the wildfire was human-caused and shooting-related. An investigation is underway.
