SALT LAKE CITY — Jeffrey R. Holland, one of the senior leaders in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was released from the hospital on Friday after he was admitted for treatment of an undisclosed illness.
As FOX 13 reported on Wednesday, Elder Holland was admitted last week for observation and diagnostic tests, which included testing for COVID-19. That test came back negative.
"He is returning to normal activities," said Latter-day Saint Church spokesperson Eric Hawkins in a statement. "He and his family appreciate the prayers and concern on his behalf."
