SALT LAKE CITY — A new program introduced Monday hopes to bring shoppers, diners and customers to downtown Salt Lake City businesses during the holiday season.
The "Downtown Dollars" program sponsored by the Downtown Alliance aims to help support local restaurants and shops as business lags due to the pandemic.

“These businesses, that typically serve office workers, event patrons, business travelers and tourists, have lost most of their usual customers during the pandemic. Downtown Dollars are an invitation to everyone to enjoy and support these local businesses.” said Downtown Alliance Executive Director Dee Brewer.
When people buy $50 or more in Downtown Dollars HERE, they will receive an extra $10 bonus added to their electronic gift card. A bonus of $25 will be added to those who purchase $75 in Downtown Dollars.
The gift cards will be accepted an any participating business. CLICK HERE to find a list of all restaurants and businesses accepting Downtown Dollars.

Downtown Dollars gift cards can also be bought and given as gifts to others during the holidays.
