SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake City dog owner found a creative way to get where she needed during the major snowstorm Monday.
More than nine inches of snow fell on Salt Lake City by 1 p.m., breaking the city’s February 3 record.
“I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this much snow right here,” Sarah Gallimore said.
A pair of skis and a pair of pups helped Gallimore get around her Salt Lake neighborhood.
The cattle dogs turned into sled dogs when she attached them to a split leash and held on.
“The dogs pull so much anyway, I was thinking, 'If I want them to, I could probably get them to pull me to the dog park,'” Gallimore said.
She admits the idea was meant as a joke until it turned out being safer than many other ways to travel Monday.
