Crews knock down early morning house fire in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah — Crews with the Ogden City Fire Department battled a fire at a home early Wednesday morning.

They were called to the 3300 block of Baker Drive at 12:20 a.m.

A 911 call indicated the house was full of smoke and that a fire had started in the rear part of the three story home.

The fire was located and crews quickly knocked it down, and contained it to the back deck area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage is estimated at $50,000.

No one was injured.

Twenty firefighters from Ogden City, Weber Fire District and South Ogden Fire Departments responded with two engines, two ladder trucks, one rescue truck, one ambulance and the Battalion Chief.
