HYDE PARK, Utah — A Utah man has been charged after police say they found multiple pornographic videos of children in his possession.
Kurt Allen Jensen, 62, of Hyde Park, was charged Thursday with 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after an investigation by the Utah Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to charging documents, an ICAC special agent observed an internet user distributing the videos on peer-to-peer file sharing software in late August. After investigating, they found the same user had done the same twice previously dating back to April. They were able to trace it back to Jensen's home, where they executed a search warrant on Wednesday.
Agents also found multiple hidden cameras while searching his home, court records state, as well as materials to make more of them. ICAC agents also said he was "actively downloading" additional child pornography when they arrived.
No charges related to the hidden cameras were filed as of Saturday.
According to court records, Jensen had already been convicted of similar crimes — sexual abuse of a child in 1994 and voyeurism in 2007.
Jensen was booked in the Cache County Jail with a recommended bail of $115,500 total for all 11 2nd-degree felony charges.
