UTAH COUNTY, Utah — A fire near Soldier Summit in Utah County forced the evacuation of a nearby Boy Scout camp Friday afternoon.
As of Saturday afternoon, the "Bennion Creek Fire" had grown to 350 acres due to high winds and extremely dry conditions.
The fire is burning in remote, rugged terrain west of Soldier Summit. Firefighters are currently unable to access the area on foot.
It's not known how many people were at the camp when it was evacuated.
