SALT LAKE CITY — Black Lives Matter Utah organized a protest in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning, calling for police accountability and transparency from lawmakers.
Hundreds of protesters gathered at the Salt Lake City and County Building beginning at 6 a.m.
Reps. Sandra Hollins and Angela Romero of the Utah House of Representatives spoke at the event.
BLM Utah's Lex Scott said the protest will be a peaceful one, and attendees should wear masks and maintain social distancing.
