LAKETOWN, Utah — A semitrailer transporting cattle rolled over on Highway 30 near Laketown last week.

Utah Highway Patrol officials said the truck took a turn as the cattle shifted in the rear trailer, causing the truck to tip on its side on December 28.

The driver suffered no injuries, but at least three cows were killed.

“Three or four were killed but the rest were all saved and able to get out of the truck with the help of local cowboys here,” said Phil Rawlinson, UHP.

UHP officials said they do not believe the driver was speeding or violating any traffic laws at the time of the crash.
