WEST JORDAN, Utah — Utah Representative and 4th Congressional District candidate Kim Coleman blames the coronavirus pandemic on China and its lack of transparency.

"The coronavirus plague comes courtesy of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). No CCP, no crisis," the Republican lawmaker, who currently represents District 42 in Utah's House of Representatives, wrote in a blog post Thursday.

"The CCP lied and dissembled [sic] the reality of this often-deadly virus, their deception costing the rest of the world as many as six weeks of preparation.

Coleman launched her campaign in January and was very critical of Democrat Rep. Ben McAdams' vote to impeach President Trump and described herself as a full-fledged Trump supporter.

"It looks like we now have two major candidates for president this November: Joe Biden and Donald J. Trump. When it comes to China, the choice could not be starker. Biden has cheered on the "Party of Davos" global elites as they sold America's industrial birthright piece by piece to China. Trump, on the other hand, has spoken out against that feckless and suicidal course every chance he got since the 1990s. Joe Biden has sold out to China for the past forty years, and Donald Trump has been warning America about the consequences of that sellout at every step along the way."
