MILLCREEK, Utah — Two people were killed in a Millcreek accident Friday after a driver attempted to flee police.

The accident occurred near 4500 South and Highland Drive just after 2:30 p.m.

Unified Police say officers attempted to make a traffic stop, and the car sped away and ran a red light.

Seconds later, the car collided with another vehicle. The other vehicle then rolled over onto an SUV.

The driver and passenger in the pursued car both died, while three others in the vehicle are in critical condition. A woman in the SUV was pulled out with the jaws of life and is also in critical condition.

Unified Police later identified those who were killed as 18-year-old Dallas Bench from Midvale and 27-year-old Felisha Sherie Hart from Millcreek. Bench was the driver.

Roads near the crash scene were closed and drivers were told to avoid the area.
