MAPLETON, Utah — Police have identified the person who died in Tuesday afternoon's motorcycle accident as 19-year-old Hunter Turner from Salem, Utah.

The crash happened when a southbound passenger car crossed over into oncoming traffic. The car crashed into two northbound vehicles and one motorcycle.

Two people were transported via ambulance to the Utah Valley Hospital. The driver of the motorcycle, Turner, died from his injuries.

Turner was traveling to his job in Springville when the accident happened.

His family says Hunter was an avid photographer and mechanic. Turner had purchased his motorcycle in August and had made many upgrades to it. His parents said he spent more time in the garage then in their house, according to a press release.

He was a 2019 graduate of Salem Hills High School and the oldest of four children.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses.
