As of Friday night, Owens retained a lead of 2,095 votes over McAdams, with an estimated 99.28% of precincts reporting.
That’s according to the Associated Press, who has yet to officially call the race for either candidate.
The Salt Lake County Clerk’s Office said there were still roughly 11,000 provisional ballots (from same day registration and in-person voting) county-wide and the bulk of those were in Friday’s results. There’s also 1,964 ballots to be cured, where there is a signature not matching or another error the voter must correct. The deadline for that is Monday at 5:00 p.m.
