Passing of Utah Amendment F could change state's legislative start date

SALT LAKE CITY — State lawmakers will now have the right to select a new day to start the yearly legislative session after Utah Amendment F passed with 66.8 percent. The decision was called by the Associated Press early Wednesday morning.

The start date can now occur any time in January instead of the previously-mandated fourth Monday of the month.
