SALT LAKE CITY — Incumbent Rep. Chris Stewart (R) will return to the U.S. House for a fifth term after defeating Democratic challenger Kael Weston and Libertarian J. Robert Latham on Election Day.

Stewart, who was first elected in 2013, was expected to win the seat in Utah's 2nd Congressional District.
The Republican congressman had 61.8 percent of the vote when the race was called in his favor at 11:14 p.m. Weston received 34.4 percent of the vote, and Latham had 3.8.
