SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah man was arrested after offering to pay what he thought was a teen girl $500 for sex. Instead, the man was caught in an online sex investigation.
Salt Lake City Police say Mohammad Nur, 27, made several attempts to contact what he believed was a 13-year-old for sex between Aug. 23 and Nov. 29. In reality, the police were working with the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force in an undercover operation.

In the online conversations with a detective, Nur allegedly offered gifts, shopping trips and hundreds of dollars. Nur told the undercover detective that he could make her "feel good" and that he was looking for a "hook up."
Nur messaged the detective posing as the teen girl on Nov. 29 and said he wanted to hang out and have sex. In the same conversation, Nur offered the girl $500 and said he only wanted to make her happy.
