Duchesne County man calls 911 to say he killed his wife

DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah — A Duchesne County man has been arrested after calling 911 on Thursday to say he had killed his wife.

Deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office responded to the call in the Arcadia area and found the deceased adult female in the home. A shotgun was also found in the same room as the deceased person.

Brent Gilbert, 65, was found by responding deputies at his home in Arcadia with knife wounds to his wrists that he claimed were self-inflicted.

No one else was in the building at the time.

Gilbert was arrested for aggravated murder and is currently being held without bail.
