Wednesday's new coronavirus numbers from the Utah Health Department

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Health Department released updated numbers regarding the novel coronavirus in Utah Wednesday.

There are now 3,445 confirmed cases in the state. That's up 149 from the 3,296 cases reported Tuesday.

The death toll stands at 34, up 2 from the 32 in the last report.

There have now been 288 hospitalizations, 11 more than the 277 reported Tuesday.

76,460 people have now been tested for COVID-19. That number was 72,358 in the last set of numbers released.

State Epidemiologist, Dr. Angela Dunn, will give perspective to these numbers in the daily media briefing at 1:30 p.m. which will be streamed live on the Fox 13 Facebook page.

Governor Gary Herbert and other state leaders are expected to give updates on any new developments as well.
