Utah's COVID-19 positivity rate down to 21.1 percent; 1,082 cases reported

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 1,082 new COVID-19 cases Monday and seven new deaths.

Utah's rolling seven-day average for positive tests now stands at 2,154 per day, with the rolling seven-day average for the percent of positive tests at 21.1 percent.

The state has administered 168,908 total vaccinations, a one-day increase of 16,399.

As of Monday, 568 people in Utah are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus.

Utah's COVID-19 death toll now stands at 1,500 deaths:

4 females:

  • between 25-44, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 25-44, Utah County resident, not hospitalized
  • between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 45-64, Washington County resident, not hospitalized

3 males:

  • between 25-44, Utah County resident, not hospitalized
  • between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 65-84, Weber County resident, not hospitalized
