SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 report for Wednesday shows an additional 1,007 confirmed cases, which brings the state's total to 80,446 with 8 new deaths.
So far, 881,440 people in Utah have been tested for the disease, and the state's rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,044 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 13.8 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,113 people in Utah have required hospitalization for COVID-19. Of those, 226 remain hospitalized.
Utah now has 496 total deaths, including the following which were reported Wednesday:
- Female, older than 85, Washington County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Millard County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, unknown if hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
