SALT LAKE CITY — The state is offering $500 in emergency grants for artists who have lost work because of COVID-19.

The Utah Division of Arts & Museums is offering one-time relief funds to artists who had events, performances, exhibitions or festivals canceled.

"Additionally, artists who experienced a disruption of income because of a COVID-19 illness or required quarantine qualify, as do those who lost work because of care for a dependent child due to the closure or child care or schools," the agency said in a statement.

The funding will not go to those in creative industries like culinary arts, personal services and artisan crafts, the division said.

The application deadline closes Nov. 16. For complete guidelines and the application, visit artsandmuseums.utah.gov/uam-covid-19-emergency-funding/
